Job description

Entry-Level Safety Laborer

Target Contractors, LLC

At Target Contractors, safety is not a checklist item -- it is the foundation of how we work. Since 2008, Target Contractors has delivered demolition, abatement, and environmental services across the U.S. by combining deep field expertise with a relentless commitment to doing the job the right way. Our teams take pride in building safe, disciplined job sites where people look out for one another and go home healthy every day.

Why Work at Target Contractors

You will be part of a company where safety is taken seriously at every level, from field crews to leadership. You will gain real-world experience in construction safety practices, not just observation. You will work on challenging projects that require discipline, communication, and attention to detail. You will be treated as a valued contributor, not just extra labor.

What You Will Do

  • Perform routine safety inspections including fire extinguishers, fall protection systems, and first aid kits
  • Install and maintain barricades and site controls to protect workers and the public
  • Complete and manage hot work permits
  • Assist with the development and documentation of Job Safety Analyses (JSAs)
  • Support field crews and supervisors with day-to-day safety needs on active job sites

Travel Requirements

  • This position requires approximately 70-80% travel, depending on project needs
  • Travel may include regional and out-of-state assignments
  • Per diem and travel support provided in accordance with company policy

What We Are Looking For

  • OSHA 10 certification preferred
  • One to three years of construction or laborer experience
  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to speak up when something is unsafe
  • Reliable, team-oriented mindset with a desire to learn and grow in construction safety

Compensation and Growth

Compensation is competitive and aligned with general to skilled laborer rates, based on experience. This role provides a strong foundation for advancement into safety, supervisory, or specialized field positions within Target Contractors.

If you are looking for a role where your work directly impacts the safety of others and where effort, accountability, and professionalism are valued, Target Contractors offers a place to build more than a job -- it offers a career.
