seoClarity is seeking a highly polished, commercially driven, and SaaS-experienced Senior Account Manager, Expansions & Renewals (SaaS) (Chicago-based) to join our growing team in our downtown Chicago office. We're looking for someone who has successfully owned renewal, retention, upsell, cross-sell, and customer growth motions within a B2B SaaS environment and knows how to build long-term value across complex customer relationships.

Senior Account Manager, Expansions & Renewals (SaaS) Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, Communications, Technology, or another related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in a similar B2B SaaS account management, renewals, expansion, customer growth, or strategic account role is required.
  • Direct SaaS experience is required. Candidates must have experience managing existing software customers, recurring revenue, renewals, account growth, upsell/cross-sell opportunities, and customer expansion motions.
  • Proven success owning and growing a portfolio of existing SaaS accounts, including renewal management, retention strategy, expansion identification, pipeline development, and revenue forecasting.
  • Experience working with mid-market, enterprise, or strategic customer accounts with multiple stakeholders, departments, decision-makers, and buying influences.
  • Strong understanding of recurring revenue models, ARR/MRR, renewal timelines, contract value, expansion pipeline, churn risk, adoption signals, customer health, and account planning.
  • Ability to identify meaningful upsell and cross-sell opportunities by understanding customer goals, platform usage, business challenges, team structure, and future growth opportunities.
  • Excellent relationship-building skills with the ability to develop trust across executive sponsors, day-to-day users, marketing leaders, SEO leaders, digital teams, procurement contacts, and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills with the ability to clearly connect product capabilities, platform adoption, usage trends, and business outcomes.
  • Experience using CRM and sales/customer systems to manage account plans, renewal timelines, pipeline activity, forecasting, notes, next steps, and customer communications.
  • Strong curiosity around AI, generative AI, AI search, answer engines, LLMs, automation, enterprise SEO, and the changing ways brands are discovered online.

Senior Account Manager, Expansions & Renewals (SaaS) Responsibilities
  • Own renewal, retention, and expansion outcomes across an assigned portfolio of existing seoClarity customers.
  • Build and execute strategic account plans focused on customer value, adoption growth, renewal readiness, stakeholder expansion, and long-term revenue growth.
  • Manage the full renewal process for assigned accounts, including timeline management, stakeholder alignment, risk identification, pricing conversations, contract coordination, and close execution.
  • Identify, qualify, and close expansion opportunities tied to additional users, teams, business units, product capabilities, data needs, AI-powered workflows, and broader platform adoption.
  • Lead thoughtful customer conversations that connect seoClarity's platform capabilities to measurable business outcomes, including search visibility, content performance, AI search readiness, workflow efficiency, reporting, and enterprise SEO scale.
  • Use customer usage data, engagement signals, business goals, and stakeholder feedback to identify renewal risk, expansion potential, and opportunities to increase value realization.
  • Deliver polished platform conversations and product demonstrations that support adoption, renewal confidence, and expansion opportunities.
  • Help customers understand how seoClarity supports visibility across traditional search, AI-driven answers, enterprise SEO workflows, content strategy, reporting, automation, and large-scale search intelligence.
  • Use AI tools thoughtfully to support account research, customer preparation, renewal planning, communication, business analysis, and internal efficiency.
  • Collaborate with Sales leadership, Client Success, Product, Marketing, Finance, and Executive Leadership to align customer priorities, renewal strategy, expansion opportunities, and escalation needs.
  • Negotiate renewal and expansion terms in a way that protects customer relationships while supporting growth, retention, and revenue goals.
  • Proactively manage upcoming renewals, expansion opportunities, and account risks with strong organization, urgency, and executive-level communication.
