Job description


Atlantic Health/Morristown Medical Center is looking for a Part Time RN Data Registry. This position is responsible for accurate review, abstraction and entry of cardiac/vascular registry data. Requires performing regular data quality checks and submission of quarterly data before final harvest date. Review quarterly reports for accuracy. Share and present data to various stakeholders for performance improvement project
Principal Accountabilities:
  • Navigate successfully through computer applications to perform all required data abstraction, such as EPIC/ Cedaron/ NCDR/ Vascular/ IQVIA platforms.
  • Abstract charts carefully using national database definitions, paying special attention to key fields that affect metrics such as risk factors, appropriate use criteria and complications. Ensure accuracy and completeness of abstracted data.
  • Adhere meticulously to specific data abstraction guidelines, definitions, and standards set by the STS, NCDR or Vascular Registries
  • Carefully enter abstracted data into designated database and ensure completeness of data entry. Review and correct any out-of-range data or other database warnings/ inconsistencies
  • Review quarterly reports for accuracy. Collaborate with various clinical teams on quality improvement projects. May be asked to present data to administration and other stakeholders.
  • Remain informed about developments in cardiac care and data management to ensure ongoing competency. Attend webinars to stay updated on recent changes and developments in the registry.
  • Compile and maintain accurate monthly statistics and complication logs
  • Perform AD HOC data analysis when requested.
  • Maintain a high degree of responsibility in keeping PHI secure and confidential

Qualifications
Required:
1. Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program.
2. Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse.
  1. Preferred:
    Prior Cath Lab/ Electrophysiology / Structural heart/ Open Heart Surgery experience preferred
  2. Knowledge of Microsoft Excel for data analysis, and PowerPoint for creating presentations
