As a Dispatcher, you are part of a team that serves as a vital link between our clients and chauffeurs, ensuring the seamless coordination and timely execution of ground chauffeured transportation service across RMA locations. Dispatchers are responsible for efficiently scheduling, routing, and assigning vehicle chauffeurs to fulfill client reservations while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction. A successful dispatcher works in a fast-paced environment and utilizes their excellent communication and organizational skills to manage incoming service requests, allocate resources effectively, and monitor the progress of assigned trips. RMA seeks a seasoned Dispatcher who can remain calm under pressure and make quick decisions and will be critical in addressing any unexpected challenges or changes to schedule. Shift - Sunday- Thursday 1:00pm- 9:30pm
Essential Functions
  • Leadership Capability: Ability to provide direction and support to drivers and team members; confident decision-maker in time-sensitive situations.
  • Assigns drivers to jobs and ensures that each driver has the correct documents and permits necessary to complete the job.
  • Communicates with other departments and clients to ensure that transportation needs are met.
  • Logistics Coordination: Strong grasp of route planning, traffic patterns, and time management to ensure efficient and timely dispatching.
  • Using telephones, two-way radios or text messages to contact employees or emergency personnel
  • Reviews scheduling information for accuracy, checking for overtime compliance, and maintaining records.
  • Maintains a fleet of vehicles in good working order as well as records associated with vehicles.
  • Ensure that all vehicles are fully stocked with supplies.
  • Fleet Knowledge: Understanding of vehicle types, availability, maintenance cycles, and regulatory requirements relevant to dispatch operations.
  • Database Experience: Comfortable navigating and updating dispatch or fleet management systems with accurate, real-time information.
  • Excel Proficiency: Skilled in using Microsoft Excel to manage schedules, track vehicle usage, and generate reports (including formulas and basic data analysis).
  • Shift Flexibility: Willingness to work varied shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on operational needs

  • This position is a safety sensitive function and may be subject to DOT drug and alcohol testing requirements, Ability to work (3) 12- hours shift and one (1) 4 hour shift, 3.5 days off a week

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Possess a high school certificate of graduation or its equivalent. Have at least 2 years of dispatch experience and at least 2 years of prior experience with Transportation Software or Dispatch Software.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
* Sign-on bonus paid out: $1,200 at $100/month for 12 months, $600 at $50/month for 12 months; payment ends if employment ends prior to the final payment*
