WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

  • Assist department leadership with the coordination of essential HIM functions and workflows.

  • Assist with process improvement and standardization of HIM workflow.

  • Conduct quality reviews for focused studies related to accreditation requirements.

  • Monitor work queues and manage system issues.

  • Perform HIM essential functions and workflow duties, as needed, in the department.

  • Serve as subject matter expert on essential HIM functions and workflows.

  • Answer inquiries from departments regarding the HIM system and resolve issues or escalate, as appropriate.

  • Participate in the planning and testing of new systems and upgrades.

  • Flexible work location onsite at one of our Franciscan locations: Indianapolis IN, Hammond IN, Lafayette IN


QUALIFICATION

  • Associate's Degree Health Information Management - Required

  • 2 years Healthcare setting - Preferred

  • Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) - American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) within 180 days - Required
