Job description

Valleywise Health is seeking a strategic and results-driven Manager Revenue Cycle Performance Improvement to lead enterprise-wide initiatives that optimize revenue cycle performance, strengthen financial outcomes, enhance operational efficiency, ensure regulatory compliance, and improve the patient financial experience.
 
As the Manager Revenue Cycle Performance Improvement, you will drive cross-functional performance improvement efforts across all areas of the revenue cycle, partnering closely with operational leaders, vendors, technology teams, finance, and executive stakeholders to identify performance gaps, implement sustainable solutions, and deliver measurable results.
 
In this role, you will bring deep revenue cycle expertise, strong analytical capabilities, Epic experience, vendor management skills, and a proven ability to lead large-scale projects while influencing diverse stakeholder groups across the organization.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead revenue cycle performance improvement initiatives focused on operational excellence, financial performance, compliance, and patient satisfaction.
  • Develop and execute strategic plans to improve key revenue cycle metrics, workflows, and outcomes across the organization.
  • Identify operational and financial performance gaps through data analysis and reporting, and implement practical, sustainable solutions.
  • Provide leadership and oversight for a team, including:
    • Data Reporting Analysts
    • Trainers
    • Vendor Management Analysts
    • Epic Analyst(s)
    • Project Managers
  • Oversee enterprise revenue cycle projects from planning through implementation, ensuring timelines, budgets, and objectives are met.
  • Partner with revenue cycle leaders, operational departments, finance, IT, and executive leadership to drive organizational priorities.
  • Manage relationships with revenue cycle vendors, holding partners accountable to service-level agreements, deliverables, and performance expectations.
  • Leverage Epic and other revenue cycle technologies to support process optimization, reporting enhancements, and operational improvements.
  • Establish governance structures, project status reporting, and executive-level communication to ensure transparency and accountability.
  • Monitor revenue cycle performance indicators and develop actionable recommendations based on trends and opportunities.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, organizational policies, and industry best practices.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, collaboration, and professional development.
 
Annual Salary Range: $89,897.60 - $143,832.00
 
Qualifications
Education:
  • Requires bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Health Information Management, Healthcare Informatics, or a related field.
Experience:
  • Requires Five (5) years of progressively responsible healthcare revenue cycle, performance improvement, healthcare finance, revenue integrity, patient financial services, or related operational experience.
  • Two (2) years of experience leading projects, coordinating teams, supervising staff, or managing revenue cycle improvement work is required.
  • Experience using data, metrics, and process improvement methods to evaluate performance and support operational decisions.
