Job Purpose

The Revenue Assurance Analyst will support the Revenue Assurance team by ensuring accurate revenue reporting, reducing revenue leakage, and identifying process improvements. This role involves analyzing data, managing billing and revenue systems, conducting audits, and implementing corrective actions. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and experience in utilities, finance, or a related field.

Key Accountabilities
  • Analyze data and other revenue-related information to ensure accuracy and identify potential issues.
  • Conduct root-cause analysis on revenue discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.
  • Reconcile discrepancies between reported and actual revenue, ensuring consistency and accuracy.
  • Prepare regular revenue assurance reports detailing findings, trends, and corrective actions taken.
  • Document revenue assurance processes and maintain clear records for audits.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement to enhance revenue integrity and reduce revenue leakage.
  • Challenge existing ways of working and continuously seek ways to do things better to drive greater efficiencies
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address system issues and ensure accurate data flow across departments.
  • Conduct internal audits to ensure adherence to policies and regulatory standards.
  • Ensure compliance with revenue recognition guidelines, company policies, and industry regulations.
  • Assist in maintaining and optimizing revenue-related systems to ensure efficient data collection and reporting.
  • Build upon technical / professional skills within own area of specialism or of other processes to continually grow your personal contribution to the business.
  • Prepare and write relevant documentation to fully inform stakeholders and document all evidence or statistics
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a business, systems, or financial area and up to 2 years of relatedย experience, or equivalent work experience.ย  Advanced degree / credits are desirable.
  • Associate's degree required.
  • Knowledge and experience in one or more areas of customer account management, customer billing, field operations.
  • Knowledge of National Grid's business operations, company policies and practices.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Power BI).
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively report findings and recommendations to various stakeholders.
