Job description

Revenue Assurance Manager

The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Revenue Assurance manager to join our Revenue Accounting and Assurance (RAA) group. This role serves as a bridge between commercial strategy and technical revenue accounting. You will be the revenue accounting expert for complex multiple element arrangements, influencing how Adobe brings SaaS and AI-powered products to market while ensuring revenue recognition compliance and scalability.

This role is ideal for someone who combines strong technical accounting expertise with interpersonal skills. The individual should be able to communicate technical accounting concepts timely and effectively to business leaders and partners across functions at all levels.

What you'll do

  • Review complex enterprise and strategic contracts, advising Sales, Deal Desk, Legal and Procurement on structure, risk, and revenue implications team. Manage and maintain revenue schedules supporting the contracts
  • Maintain and prepare technical revenue accounting memos for contracts and assist with playbooks
  • Collaborate with cross functional partners during contract negotiation. Advise on deal structures and potential risks to revenue for complex transactions that include payments to customers
  • Support revenue related aspects of the financial close related to revenue, accounting positions, applicable internal controls and associated operational activities
  • Collaborate with external auditors on technical accounting matters, support PBC preparation, and complete associated deliverables
  • Drive innovation by using tools, data, automation and AI to improve existing revenue processes and evaluate new opportunities

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent experience.
  • CPA or equivalent with a minimum of 8+ years US GAAP revenue recognition and accounting experience within SaaS or a cloud service provider and professional services
  • Prior experience in Big 4 accounting or advisory, with experience of complex accounting issues
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate well
  • Deep expertise in US GAAP and ASC 606 for SaaS and AI related services, including knowledge of multi-element arrangements, SSP, variable consideration, contract modifications, consideration payable to a customer, and usage-based or consumption revenue models
  • Experience researching, documenting, and presenting technical revenue accounting positions and collaborating with the external auditors on these items
  • Experience in PowerBI, SFDC, and SAP

Expected Pay Range:

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this positionis $102,200 -- $224,000 annually. Paywithin this range varies by work locationand may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills,and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process. In California, the pay range for this position is $154,700 - $224,000

At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).

In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
