Job description

Position Summary
The Warehouse Floater โ€“ Repair & Returns Specialist plays a critical cross-functional role within warehouse operations. This position primarily focuses on power tool repairs and processing retail store returns, while also providing flexible support to pick and pack operations for outbound shipments. The role requires strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt to shifting operational priorities.
Key Responsibilities

Power Tool Repair & Refurbishment

  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and perform repairs on returned or damaged power tools.
  • Conduct functional testing to verify tools meet quality and safety standards.
  • Replace defective components and perform routine maintenance as required.
  • Accurately document repair actions, parts used, and repair outcomes in internal systems. (Sales Force, excel, and Outlook)ย 
  • Escalate complex, unsafe, or reoccurring repair issues to management.ย 
Retail Returns Receiving & Processing

  • Receive and inspect returned products from retail partners.
  • Assess product condition and determine disposition (repair, refurbish, return to inventory, or scrap).
  • Verify return documentation and maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Ensure returned items are processed efficiently to minimize backlog and inventory discrepancies.
  • Maintain organization and cleanliness of the returns and repair areas.
Pick, Pack & Outbound Operations Support

  • Assist with picking, packing, and staging outbound customer and retail orders as needed.
  • Ensure orders are picked accurately, packaged securely, and prepared for shipment on time.
  • Support inventory movement, replenishment, and cycle count activities.
  • Maintain compliance with safety procedures and warehouse best practices.
Qualifications & Skills

  • Mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience with power tools are strongly preferred.
  • Prior warehouse, returns processing, or repair experience a plus.
