Job description

The RMA Account Clerk is responsible for assisting with the overall handling of units returned for repair as well as maintaining positive relations with customers utilizing the RMA service.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Tracking Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) accounts for Point of Sale (POS) terminals shipped by customers for service.
  • Responding to e-mails and tickets throughout the RMA process.
  • Prioritizing RMAs for repair by shop technicians.
  • Coordinate with Repair Department to facilitate unit service.
  • Maintaining inventory integrity through attention to detail and regularly performed audits.
  • Perform warranty status verifications of terminals.
  • Draft invoices to charge for out-of-warranty repairs.
  • Receive, inspect and catalogue inbound Point of Sale (POS) terminals shipped by customers for repair.
  • Enter received units into inventory and sort for storage.
  • Inspect, package and ship outbound Point of Sale (POS) terminals shipped by customers for repair.
  • Update unit status in inventory as needed.
  • Maintain high levels of ethical standards to protect customer data and property.
  • Maintain inventory integrity through attention to detail and regularly performed audits.
  • Operate in a safe and efficient manner in a warehouse environment.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • A positive and professional attitude.
  • Integrity and honesty.
  • Ability to clearly and professionally communicate verbally and in writing.
  • A desire to learn, and the ability to listen and ask questions.
  • High School degree or equivalent.
  • Ability to adapt to changes in workflow and shifts in priority.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to bend, kneel, lift, pull, push, sit, stand, stoop.
  • Ability to climb stairs and ladders.
  • MS Excel Proficiency.
  • MS Word Proficiency.
  • MS Outlook Proficiency.
  • Windows OS Proficiency.
  • 1-year customer service experience preferred.
  • Customer support experience preferred.
  • Inventory control experience preferred.
