This role resides within the Retirement Solutions Defined Contribution (DC) business, supporting business development and client advisory efforts focused on large corporate DC plan sponsors. The Associate partners with senior stakeholders and product teams to advance relationships with retirement plan decision-makers and position investment strategies for inclusion in 401(k) investment menus.

The role emphasizes disciplined prospecting, relationship development, and opportunity pipeline management, while delivering differentiated DC investment insights across public and private markets

YOUR IMPACT

We are seeking an Associate to support business development and client engagement with large defined contribution plan sponsors. The Associate will focus on originating and advancing relationships with corporate retirement decision-makers, partnering closely with senior coverage professionals to pursue new and existing client opportunities.

This role requires a proactive, detail-oriented professional who is passionate about retirement investing and participant outcomes, and capable of supporting both strategic dialogue and day-to-day execution across multiple client relationships.

HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL

  • Associates support senior coverage professionals in originating new relationships and expanding existing DC plan sponsor engagements:
  • Develop and cultivate relationships with large corporate DC plan sponsors; support positioning of investment strategies for potential inclusion in 401(k) investment menus
  • Originate new plan sponsor relationships through proactive outreach to investment committee stakeholders, including HR and Treasury
  • Own external communications, meeting coordination, preparation of tailored discussion materials, and post-meeting follow-up
  • Deliver and support thought leadership on DC investment menu construction, private markets integration, retirement income solutions, and participant behavior trends
  • Support coverage and pipeline management by identifying key decision-makers, setting outreach priorities, and tracking next steps
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, including meeting logs, contact updates, and opportunity pipeline reporting
  • Identify and evaluate competitive replacement opportunities through analysis of plan lineups, manager positioning, and performance trends
  • Collaborate closely with internal coverage, product, and investment teams to support client engagement and product positioning

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Mimimum 3 years of experience in asset management, institutional sales, retirement services, or related financial services preferred
  • Strong interest in defined contribution plans and retirement investing
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and relationship management skills
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Securities Industry Essentials (SIE), Series 7, and Series 63 licenses required, or ability to obtain within 90 days of joining
