Job description

What We Need

Corpay is currently seeking an Account Manager within our NA Fuel division. This experienced account management role owns a portfolio of mid-market customers and serves as the primary relationship and service contact for the customer administrators and senior leaders.  

The Account Manager is responsible for protecting and growing the assigned account base by building trusted relationships, resolving day-to-day and sometimes complex issues, identifying customer needs, and positioning Corpay solutions that strengthen retention and account performance.

This role is office-based in Brentwood, TN. Corpay provides:

Role Responsibilities

As an Account Manager, you will:

Client Relationship Management

  • Own the ongoing relationship for an assigned mid-market portfolio, serving as the primary contact for account administrators and senior-level customer stakeholders as needed
  • Build credibility through proactive communication, timely follow-up, business reviews, and clear written and verbal updates
  • Partner closely with the outside field sales team to support customer retention, account growth, and a coordinated customer experience
  • Retain assigned clients and associated revenue through disciplined outreach, strategic planning, and strong issue ownership
  • Identify customer needs and position Corpay products, services, and value-added solutions that support growth within the account base
  • Prepare and present proactive recommendations that improve customer satisfaction, strengthen relationships, and protect revenue

Strategic Account Oversight

  • Develop and manage account strategies that align customer needs, contract requirements, utilization trends, service expectations, and revenue growth opportunities
  • Balance weekly priorities across proactive portfolio work, inbound customer needs, internal follow-up, and SLA commitments
  • Use available data, customer feedback, and account history to identify risks, growth opportunities, process gaps, and recommended next steps
  • Make sound decisions regarding customer setup, servicing needs, concessions, escalations, and appropriate internal action plans

Issue Resolution & Troubleshooting

  • Take ownership of complex and daily servicing issues, determine root cause, communicate next steps, and drive resolution through completion
  • Advocate internally for the customer by collaborating with cross-functional departments, setting clear expectations, and holding partners accountable for timely updates and resolution

Operational Excellence & Leadership

  • Maintain organized time-management routines that allow multiple priorities to be handled within the week while meeting service standards
  • Communicate with professionalism, urgency, and judgment in customer-facing and internal interactions
  • Contribute to process improvements, customer experience enhancements, and adoption of tools that improve efficiency and visibility
  • Demonstrate ambition, ownership, and a passion for customer service while continuing to grow professionally

Qualifications & Skills

Education, Experience, and Technical Skills

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in account management, client success, relationship management, customer service leadership, or a related customer-facing role
  • Experience managing a large customer portfolio or supporting mid-market customers with complex servicing needs
  • Experience partnering with sales teams, supporting retention, and identifying account growth or upsell opportunities preferred
  • High School diploma or GED required
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to use CRM, reporting, and workflow tools effectively
  • Salesforce knowledge is a plus
