Job description

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Team Lead oversees and participates in all day-to day store activities including safety compliance, front end and backroom oversight of the store. The Team Lead assists with functions related to sales, production and customer service and is a key holder responsible for store opening and closing activities as directed by the Store Manager and/or Assistant Manager. This position is a member of the Management Support Team.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES:
  1. Complies with all organization policies and procedures.
  2. Follows safety policies and procedures ensuring maximum security and protection of all customers, team members, and company assets.
  3. Engages with all consumers, community groups, co-workers to promote the achievement of the company mission. Resolves customer issues and answers questions to ensure a positive customer experience.
  4. Maintains strict confidentiality of all sensitive information concerning the organization, consumers and/or employees.
  5. Assists with achieving 100% or more of weekly revenue and production goals through team member training and production focus efforts.
  6. Handles Point of Sale and Accounting functions and transactions; responsible for store cash funds, issuing and counting down registers, bank deposits, and overages/shortages.
  7. Performs necessary record keeping, daily reports, and reporting of money and sales to appropriate department personnel within Goodwill of Delaware & Delaware County.
  8. Responsible to assist with the fulfillment of all production functions and individual productivity of Production Associate team members.
  9. Assists with training of new retail team members, as assigned, to ensure that the highest level of customer service is offered to all.
  10. Advises management staff of all progress, problems, and new development on a regular basis.
  11. Assumes role of manager on duty and supervises team members on shift.
  12. Conducts quality checks on carts and Z-racks.
  13. Responsible for store opening and closing activities.
  14. Assists with exterior and interior maintenance by ensuring that the store is clean, neat, orderly in appearance.
  15. Performs all other job duties as assigned.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
A High School Diploma or G.E.D. and a minimum of 1-2 years of related experience. An equivalent combination of education and/or training may be considered.
SKILLS/ABILITIES:
  • Basic computer navigation skills, and ability to learn new technical skills
  • Excellent communication skills to include listening skills
  • Excellent customer service skills, and ability to interact effectively with a diverse constituent population
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment
