THE OPPORTUNITY

As the Analyst, Communications, you will help support the external and internal reputation of Chipotle’s brand across both corporate and restaurant footprints, supporting initiatives that showcase Chipotle’s purpose to Cultivate a Better World. Reporting to the Director of External Communications, you will create content for athlete, musician, and sports partnerships, support new restaurant openings (NROs) PR, and craft executive backgrounders and employee stories that show our culture in action. You will contribute to campaign execution from media list building and pitching to drafting internal communications for company announcements, as well as posts and video scripts for a variety of internal channels and social. You will track social metrics for PR campaigns, support Daily Stand Ups and Team Huddles, and help ensure calendars, assets, and approvals are organized. This is a hands-on role ideal for a strong writer with a service mindset who can move with pace and collaborate successfully across internal stakeholder teams. You will gain exposure to both external and internal processes, building skills in media relations, storytelling, and measurement.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Develop materials for athlete/musician, sports partnerships, including bios, talking points, fact sheets, and Q&A.
  • Draft employee storytelling for internal channels, executive LinkedIn, and People of Chipotle Instagram page, sourcing stories, securing approvals, and publishing.
  • Support new restaurant openings (NROs) PR through building and maintaining regional media lists, drafting media alerts/pitches, coordinating outreach, and tracking coverage.
  • Research and write executive backgrounders/briefing documents, compiling reporter dossiers and prep materials for interviews.
  • Produce Chipotle’s internal intranet (Chiplinks) posts and short video scripts, partnering with internal communications leadership on edits, approvals, and publishing.
  • Track social and PR campaign metrics and build concise readouts.
  • Support the creation and organization of content for Team Huddles, capturing and resolving actions, managing guest speakers and their content ensuring deadlines and logistics are met.
  • Provide additional Internal Communications support including Restaurant Weekly articles and bot messages, maintaining brand voice standards.
  • Maintain organized assets, calendars, and distribution lists, assist with media relations triage and Daily Bites editing/content.
  • Manage internal digital signage for our Restaurant Support Center (RSC), ensuring accurate and relevant messaging. 
  • Provide support to Employee Resource Groups (ERGs), helping to craft communications that align with key initiatives and organizational goals.
  • Provide support to the Senior Manager, Corporate Events by ensuring logistics contribute to seamless execution.
  • Uphold process excellence including version control, fact-checking, legal/brand reviews, and on-time delivery.
  • Assist in monitoring and managing crisis communications on a rotational basis, ensuring timely and effective responses in coordination with leadership. 

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE TABLE

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS) from 4-year college or university in Communications, PR, Journalism, Marketing, or other related field required.
  • 1-3 years of experience in PR, corporate communications, marketing, or another related field required; experience in multi-unit or retail/consumer/restaurant brands desired.
  • 1-3 years of experience with media relations and supporting press interactions.
  • Strong writer/editor (AP Style) with strong attention to detail and the ability to craft compelling press releases, statements, articles, and other internal/external content.
  • Social/digital fluency to include LinkedIn publishing, basic social analytics, and familiarity with newsroom/intranet platforms.
  • Strong collaborator with the ability to effectively work with cross-functional teams.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects effectively and efficiently.
  • Self-starter with a passion for culture and a desire for continuous learning.
  • Proficient with MS Office - Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook  

PAY TRANSPARENCY

A reasonable estimate of the current base pay range for this position is $69,000.00–$93,000.00. You are also eligible for annual cash bonuses and equity awards based upon performance and other factors. Actual compensation offered may vary depending on skill level, experience, and/or education.
