Job description

Office Manager

Gold Bond Building Products, LLC has an immediate opening for an Office Manager at our Westwego, LA location. This position will report to the plant manager.

Major Job Responsibilities (not all inclusive):

  • Responsible for keeping safety first for yourself and your co-workers
  • Supervise and assist office staff in the prompt and accurate handling of all recordkeeping and reporting, including records retention
  • Responsible for petty cash and assist with employee payroll
  • Monitoring accounts payable information within SAP, order entry within SAP and SRM and credit card transactions within Concur systems
  • Responsible for the accuracy of production data within Midas
  • Responsible for the accuracy of the book inventory and the reconciliation to the physical inventory including cycle counts
  • Responsible for the preparation of monthly reports relating to the Manufacturing Cost Summary
  • Analyze, examine and interpret accounting data and reports and provide guidance to management on costs, operating needs and trends
  • Accumulate data to be used as a basis for budgets, prepare within the timeframes set by Operations Accounting/Manufacturing and discuss with Plant Manager
  • Assist in the preparation of the Repair Parts Inventory and ensure accurate reporting and entry
  • Ensure compliance with Company policies and procedures in their area of responsibility
  • Ensure office staff complies with plant safety requirements
  • Responsible for the protection and proper maintenance of plant office equipment
  • Ensure accurate month end closing information on reports
  • Upon approval of work orders, tracking expense and timely completion of paperwork
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Associate's Degree in Accounting or equivalent work experience
  • Plus, five years' accounting experience in an industrial/administrative capacity
  • Ability to understand significance of accounting function to the plant operations
  • Strong administrative and communication skills
  • Ability to analyze Manufacturing Cost Summary
  • Strong computer skills – Microsoft Office
  • Physical ability to access all plant areas.
  • Ability to lift 25lbs.
  • Hybrid work schedule ineligible.

Competitive Salary, with a general salary range of $78,816.00 to $98,520.00, or higher depending on education and experience.
