The Restaurant Line Cook plays a key role in preparing and executing American cuisine within a small kitchen team. Working closely with the executive chef, the line cook ensures efficient meal periods, maintains high food quality, and upholds cleanliness and sanitation standards. This position typically involves 6-8 hour shifts and offers opportunities for advancement to sous chef or higher roles.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook American menu items according to recipes and quality standards
- Plate dishes attractively and accurately to meet presentation guidelines
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary work environment throughout shifts
- Collaborate effectively with a small team of 1-5 cooks to ensure smooth service
- Assist the executive chef in daily meal period execution
Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience in restaurant kitchen operations
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper sanitation practices
