We are a rapidly growing Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) brand, seeking an Accountant/Controller. In this hands-on financial leadership role, you will oversee all accounting and financial reporting functions while guiding our continued growth. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and have a strong restaurant accounting background, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all accounting and financial operations for multiple restaurant locations.
  • Prepare and analyze weekly and monthly financial statements and restaurant P&L reports.
  • Monitor and analyze food cost, beverage cost, labor cost, and operating expenses.
  • Develop budgets, forecasts, and financial models to drive profitability.
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiencies.
  • Manage cash flow, banking relationships, and financial controls.
  • Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions.
  • Manage payroll processing and ensure compliance with federal and state payroll regulations.
  • Prepare and file quarterly payroll tax reports and other required tax filings.
  • Coordinate year-end financial reporting and work with external CPA firms during audits and tax preparation.
  • Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and balance sheet accounts.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies.
  • Collaborate with ownership and operations leadership to support strategic decision-making.
  • Develop and maintain internal financial controls and accounting procedures.
  • Assist with acquisitions, new restaurant openings, and company growth initiatives.

Requirements

  • CPA designation preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
  • Minimum 5+ years of Controller or senior accounting experience in the restaurant industry.
  • Experience with multi-unit Quick Service Restaurants (QSR) required.
  • Strong understanding of restaurant financial statements and operational metrics.
  • Extensive experience analyzing restaurant P&Ls.
  • Strong knowledge of food cost, labor cost, prime cost, inventory controls, payroll, and sales tax.
  • Proficiency in Toast POS and Toast Payroll strongly preferred.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks or similar ERP/accounting systems.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.

Schedule
