Job description

SUMMARY
Lead Corporate Safety Initiative.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
Complete and track machine certifications
Inspect and perform trainings on safety equipment
Conduct safety audits
Assist with implementation of safety program improvements
Lead respiratory protection program (trainings and scheduling fit testing)
Schedule CPR certification classes
Schedule and execute safety drills
Lead Safety Committee
Lead safety training for new hires
Enforce safety program
Ensure safety program is compliant with OSHA and other regulatory guidelines as applicable
Assist with workplace accident investigations
Perform other related duties, as assigned, for the purpose of ensuring an efficient and effective work
environment.
Ensure activities are conducted in accordance with Atec International Standards Organization
(AS9100/ISO) policies and correct and report any deviations to appropriate area manager/supervisor.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversite of safety committee including safety officers.
AS9100/ISO SPECIFIC DUTIES
Be familiar with and understand Atec Quality Policy and company objectives.
Understand required AS9100/ISO specific Procedures and Work Instructions.
Complete all records required by Procedures and Work Instructions.
Participate in Atec Improvement Machine (AIM) as appropriate.
Participate in AS9100/ISO training as required.
Cooperate with Auditors.
Report any deviations to appropriate area manager/supervisor.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or General Education Degree
Bachelor's degree in Safety field preferred; or related experience and/or training; or combination.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
CPR Trainer Certification Preferred
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, occasionally reach with hands and arms, stoop/kneel to file, and lift and/or move at least 25 pounds.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Extended work hours and/or travel may occasionally be required.
