To thrive as a Respiratory Protection Program Manager, you need a solid background in occupational health and safety, industrial hygiene, or a related field, often supported by relevant certifications such as CIH or CSP. Familiarity with OSHA standards, fit testing equipment, and respiratory protection management software is typically required. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and effective communication are crucial for training staff and ensuring compliance. These competencies are vital to maintain workplace safety, regulatory compliance, and the health of employees exposed to respiratory hazards.

What are some common challenges faced by a Respiratory Protection Program Manager, and how can they be addressed?

A Respiratory Protection Program Manager often encounters challenges such as ensuring employee compliance with proper respirator use, keeping up with changing regulations, and maintaining accurate fit testing and training records. Addressing these challenges involves regular communication with staff to reinforce the importance of respiratory protection, staying updated on OSHA standards, and implementing a robust documentation system. Collaborating closely with safety, health, and operational teams can also help identify potential issues early and foster a culture of safety throughout the organization.

A Respiratory Protection Program Manager is responsible for overseeing an organization's respiratory protection program to ensure compliance with workplace safety standards, such as those set by OSHA. They develop, implement, and manage policies and procedures related to the selection, use, maintenance, and fit testing of respiratory protective equipment. Job description

At Netflix, our mission is to entertain the world. Together, we are writing the next episode - pushing the boundaries of storytelling, global fandom and making the unimaginable a reality. We are a dream team obsessed with the uncomfortable excitement of discovering what happens when you merge creativity, intuition and cutting-edge technology. Come be a part of what's next.

The Team

The Security and Privacy Technical Program Management team is a force multiplier; we partner closely with engineering and product teams across Netflix to deliver results. We collaborate cross functionally to align on strategic goals and vision, and then we work with the right stakeholders to establish and drive impactful initiatives.

The Role

We are looking for a Technical Program Manager to join our Data Protection program! In this role you will partner closely with the Privacy and Data Protection Engineering team to reduce data risks, ensure regulatory compliance and foster a responsible data culture across Netflix.

This role is a unique opportunity to build on your prior expertise in privacy and data protection. You will work with an established team of privacy and security engineers to identify, develop and drive the development and adoption of various data management capabilities across multiple data platforms, which will be used by product and central engineering organizations. In this role you will navigate through complex technical and operational challenges in capability development and adoption across areas such as data inventory and classification, access control, retention, encryption, de-identification and many more.

The ideal candidate is skilled at both program strategy and execution supported by a strong technical domain expertise in privacy and data protection. You might come from a software or data engineering background, or otherwise have deep technical expertise on data management systems and solutions at scale. In this role you will have the freedom to innovate, solve challenging problems with a great team of domain experts and impact the business in a meaningful way. If you're up for the challenge, we'd love to hear from you!

Desired Background:

  • You're passionate about privacy and data protection!

  • You're familiar with technical Data Protection or Governance programs, all the way from policy creation to control implementation and user support.

  • You're able to identify gaps in solutions and debate technical approaches for data inventory and classification, access control, data retention and various Privacy Enhancing Technologies.

  • You have experience driving large-scale technical initiatives on shared infrastructure platforms and managing the definition of technical strategies.

  • You have excellent written and verbal communication skills, including clear articulation of business impact and technical constraints tailored to the audience.

  • You are able to triage multiple initiatives to make a judgment to tackle the right problems at the right time.

  • You're comfortable operating in ambiguous and fast-paced environments.

Generally, our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. To determine your personal top of market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range. The range for this role is $420,000.00 - $630,000.00. This compensation range will vary based on location.

Netflix provides comprehensive benefits including Health Plans, Mental Health support, a 401(k) Retirement Plan with employer match, Stock Option Program, Disability Programs, Health Savings and Flexible Spending Accounts, Family-forming benefits, and Life and Serious Injury Benefits. We also offer paid leave of absence programs. Full-time hourly employees accrue 35 days annually for paid time off to be used for vacation, holidays, and sick paid time off. Full-time salaried employees are immediately entitled to flexible time off. See more details about our Benefits here.

Netflix is a unique culture and environment. Learn more here.

Inclusion is a Netflix value and we strive to host a meaningful interview experience for all candidates. If you want an accommodation/adjustment for a disability or any other reason during the hiring process, please send a request to your recruiting partner.

We are an equal-opportunity employer and celebrate diversity, recognizing that diversity builds stronger teams. We approach diversity and inclusion seriously and thoughtfully. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, ancestry, national origin, caste, sex, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity or expression, age, disability, medical condition, pregnancy, genetic makeup, marital status, or military service.

Job is open for no less than 7 days and will be removed when the position is filled.
