Job description

Resource Management Concepts, Inc. (RMC) provides high-quality, professional services to government and commercial sectors. Our mission is to deliver exceptional management and technology solutions supporting the protection and preservation of the people and environment of the United States of America.

RMC is hiring a Human Resource Specialist to support our customer in Indian Head, MD. The selected candidate will provide professional human resources support across a variety of personnel programs, including employee relations, labor relations, benefits, and personnel administration. Tasks Include:

  • Providing professional support to managers and employees by responding to routine inquiries regarding employee relations, labor relations, benefits, and other human resources programs.
  • Inputting, extracting, compiling, and maintaining information within Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) and other automated systems.
  • Tracking and reporting human resources program metrics using Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Drafting, editing, proofreading, and formatting official correspondence, memoranda, reports, and other written communications in accordance with established standards.
  • Maintaining accurate electronic and physical personnel records while ensuring confidentiality and compliance with applicable regulations and policies.
  • Coordinating meetings, managing calendars, scheduling appointments, and supporting office workflow using Microsoft Outlook.
  • Assisting with the preparation, organization, and maintenance of documentation supporting human resources activities.
  • Providing exceptional customer service while supporting a variety of human resources initiatives, projects, and program activities.
  • Performing other human resources-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • An Associate's degree in human resources, management, business administration, or other relevant fields. Two (2) years of recent experience in analyzing, managing, and improving major aspects of human resources, organizational processes, and functions, with a minimum of one (1) year in a Federal Agency environment. A High School Diploma or GED equivalent and three (3) years of experience may be substituted for the Associateโ€™s degree.
  • The selected applicant must have a strong knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite, strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication and customer service skills. Knowledge of DoD and Navy processes, particularly in Human Resources, is preferred.
  • Security Clearance: An active DoD Secret clearance is required to start.

Salary at RMC is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, a candidate's specific combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific requirements. The current annual salary range for this position will be $55,000 to $60,000.
