Lake Lawn Resort is seeking a driven and relationship-focused Resort Sales Manager to join our Sales team. This role is responsible for generating and managing group business, building strong client relationships, and driving revenue through meetings, events, and group lodging opportunities. The ideal candidate is a proactive hospitality sales professional with strong negotiation skills and a passion for resort and hotel sales.


Position Details

What You'll Do

  • Prospect, network, and develop new group business opportunities for the resort.ย 
  • Analyze existing group business and create strategies to expand assigned markets.ย 
  • Qualify leads, prepare proposals, and present competitive group sales solutions.ย 
  • Negotiate contracts and close group business in alignment with revenue goals.ย 
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records in the sales database/CRM system.ย 
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to encourage repeat business and referrals.ย 
  • Collaborate with the Director of Sales and Senior Sales Manager on marketing strategies for group accounts.ย 
  • Prepare and manage group contracts, room blocks, and event documentation.ย 
  • Coordinate seamless handoff of group details to conference services and operations teams.ย 
  • Support billing and credit application processes for group accounts.ย 
  • Maximize group revenue by optimizing room blocks, function space, and rate strategies.ย 
  • Maintain knowledge of competitive set, market trends, and resort offerings.ย 
  • Represent Lake Lawn Resort through tours, client meetings, and sales presentations.ย 
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by Sales Leadership.

Requirements

ย What We're Looking For

  • Previous hotel sales, resort sales, hospitality sales, group sales, or catering sales experience preferred.ย 
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.ย 
  • Experience working with corporate clients, group bookings, or event planning preferred.ย 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel required.ย 
  • Experience with Versa and Amadeus.
  • Ability to work independently and meet sales goals.ย 
  • High School Diploma required; college degree or equivalent experience preferred.ย 
  • Valid driver's license required.ย 
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.ย 

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.ย 
  • Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.ย 
  • Frequent use of hands for computer work and documentation.ย 
  • Ability to conduct property tours and walk guest areas.ย
