Job description

Crystal Springs Resort is currently seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Banquet Intern to join our team. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in event operations, and hospitality at one of the top Northeast's premier resort destinations.


Task List:

  • Utilize POL’s to routinely create a “Today’s Event Sheet.”
  • Create and distribute food labels for breakfast, lunch, and dinner events.
  • Routinely organize new BEO’s for efficient use by Banquet Team.
  • Create and distribute BEO packets for the following day.
  • Be part of leadership meetings such as wedding meetings, pre-shifts, and daily stand up.

Program learning goals:

  • Learn to effectively analyze and interpret a Banquet Executive Order (BEO).
  • Witness the successful execution of weddings, social, and corporate events from start to finish.
  • Learn to manage and coordinate a team on a high level.
  • Learn to function in an efficient office environment.
  • Data entry of invoices related to events such as linen invoices, equipment rental invoices, etc.
  • Be part of the planning team of major holiday events and festivals such as NJ Wine & Food Festival, NJ Beer & Food Festival, Easter Brunch, Mother’s Day, Thanksgiving Brunch, New Years Eve family event, and after party in the Biosphere indoor pool.
