Job Description: Program Supervisor
  • Reports to: Director of Operations
  • Position Status: Non-exempt
  • Location : On-site
  • Salary Range: $25-$32/hour
  • This is a part-time position (approximately 25 hours / week) and may include off-business/evening hours as needed.

Job Overview:
Experienced and motivated professional, with the supervision of the Director of Operations, oversees the daily operations for The Margaret Home (TMH). The Program Supervisor managers the Direct Care Coordinators and works closely with the mothers and children, providing a safe home, and a structured and loving atmosphere. The position requires an individual who has experience coordinating staff and residential programs. The position requires the ability to engage with mothers and children, staff, volunteers, and donors from varying backgrounds, educations, and cultures. The Program Supervisor reports directly to the Director of Operations.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Services or related field from a four-year college or university; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Dedication and full support of the mission of The Margaret Home to promote the sanctity of life and the dignity of women in the Catholic tradition.
  • Substantial knowledge (through a combination of education and experience) in the field of housing programs, community resources, and social services
  • Experience in providing direct supervision over other employees.
  • Experience in facilitating individuals and small groups.
  • Red Cross Adult and Pediatric CPR certification or equivalent.
  • Valid NYS Driver's license and/or reliable transportation to and from The Margaret Home.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Provides coordination for staff and volunteers to ensure the fulfillment of The Margaret Home's mission and exercises good stewardship in all tasks and activities.
  • Promotes linkages with community organizations and businesses.
  • Oversees the Intake process for mothers and their children.
  • Under the direction of the Director of Operations, develops, implements, and monitors, the individual service plans for families in the residence.
  • Enforces all household policies and procedures and works closely with mothers and staff to achieve safety and compliance.
  • Manages weekly schedule of Direct Care Coordinators.
  • Provides on-site leadership and delegation of tasks for Direct Care Coordinators.
  • Provides follow-up and documentation of all reportable incidents that may occur.
  • Oversees and maintains implementation of the Spiritual Care Program.
  • Oversees and maintains implementation of the Parenting Program.

The Program Supervisor must be mission-driven, flexible, and willing to self-motivate, must be willing and able to work closely with other team members and volunteers, and collaborate regularly with internal staff and leadership.
