About the Position Amador Water Agency, California Resident Engineer Build Infrastructure That Matters The Amador Water Agency is seeking a skilled and driven Resident Engineer to lead critical water and wastewater infrastructure projects that directly impact the community. This is a hands-on leadership role where engineering expertise meets field execution-ideal for someone who thrives managing projects, solving complex challenges, and guiding teams from concept through construction. What You'll Do Lead and oversee the construction and maintenance of raw water, water distribution, and wastewater systems Manage multiple capital and developer-driven projects from design through completion Review engineering plans, specifications, and technical reports Coordinate with contractors, developers, regulatory agencies, and internal teams Resolve construction issues, negotiate change orders, and support contract administration Supervise and mentor field staff and ensure safe, efficient operations Support budgeting and long-term planning for engineering projects For more information on the job description and benefits, click here.
