Resident Assistant
The Orchards is currently seeking a Resident Assistant to join our team.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Resident Assistant to join our assisted living team. The Resident Assistant plays a key role in supporting residents with their daily living activities, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being while promoting a respectful and caring environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to residents.
- Monitor and report changes in residents' health or behavior to nursing staff.
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding as needed.
- Help maintain a clean and safe living environment.
- Support residents in participating in recreational and social activities.
- Follow care plans and facility policies to ensure quality care.
- Document care and services provided accurately and timely.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in caregiving or assisted living preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to handle physical aspects of caregiving, including lifting and assisting residents.
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Compassionate, patient, and reliable.
