Job description

Position Overview:

The Research & Data Analyst will serve as a key source of market and business intelligence for CompoSecure's marketing and commercial teams. This role is responsible for transforming raw data into actionable insight - supporting strategic decision-making through rigorous market research, operational analytics, and financial modeling. From building ROI tools that win client confidence to tracking pipeline health and industry trends, this person will help ensure CompoSecure stays ahead of the market and operates with clarity and precision.

Key Responsibilities:

ROI Modeling & Financial Tools

  • Design, build, and maintain ROI calculators and financial modeling tools that quantify the value of CompoSecure's products and programs for prospective and existing clients
  • Partner with sales and marketing teams to customize ROI models for specific client segments, use cases, and verticals - ensuring outputs are compelling, accurate, and easy to present
  • Continuously refine assumptions and inputs based on updated performance data, client feedback, and market benchmarks

Pipeline & Backlog Tracking

  • Own the reporting and analysis of sales pipeline and order backlog, providing regular updates to commercial and marketing leadership on volume, velocity, and mix
  • Identify patterns and anomalies in pipeline data that signal risk or opportunity, and surface findings with clear, actionable recommendations
  • Maintain data accuracy and consistency across pipeline reporting tools, ensuring alignment between CRM data and financial projections

Go-Get Tracking

  • Build and manage a go-get tracking framework that monitors progress against revenue and growth targets on a rolling basis
  • Develop clear visualizations and scorecards that allow sales and marketing teams to quickly assess gap-to-goal and prioritize pursuit activity
  • Provide regular cadence reporting to leadership with commentary on performance drivers, risks, and recommended actions

Market Analysis

  • Conduct in-depth market analyses including sizing, segmentation, share estimation, and growth opportunity assessments across CompoSecure's core and adjacent markets
  • Synthesize data from multiple sources - including third-party research, public filings, and internal datasets - to build a comprehensive and current view of the competitive landscape
  • Support strategic planning, new business development, and investor communications with well-structured, data-backed market narratives

Industry Trends & Research

  • Monitor and report on key trends shaping the financial card, payments, and fintech industries - including regulatory developments, technology shifts, and consumer behavior changes
  • Produce regular trend briefings and research summaries for marketing, product, and executive leadership to inform strategy and positioning
  • Establish and maintain a library of industry research, reports, and data sources that serve as a shared intelligence resource across the organization

Forecast Support

  • Provide analytical support for the revenue and demand forecasting process, contributing market context, historical trend analysis, and scenario modeling
  • Partner with finance and commercial teams during forecasting cycles to validate assumptions, stress-test projections, and present findings clearly

Salesforce (SFDC) Support

  • Serve as a data and reporting resource within Salesforce, building and maintaining custom reports, dashboards, and data views that support marketing and sales decision-making
  • Ensure the integrity and accuracy of key data fields within SFDC, partnering with sales operations to identify and resolve data quality issues
  • Support the integration of SFDC data with other analytics tools and sources to enable a unified view of marketing and commercial performance

Qualifications:

  • 3–6 years of experience in a data analytics, market research, or business intelligence role, ideally within financial services, fintech, or a B2B technology environment
  • Strong proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools such as Excel, Tableau, Power BI, or equivalent platforms
  • Demonstrated ability to build financial models, ROI frameworks, and scenario analyses from the ground up
  • Excellent research skills with experience synthesizing complex, multi-source data into clear executive-ready narratives
  • High attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy and analytical rigor
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; comfortable presenting findings to cross-functional and leadership audiences
