Collections Specialist

Responsibilities

  • Collection reminder and past due calls
  • Taking payments and processing general accounting functions
  • Updating and tracking clients insurance and other pertinent information
  • Answering and transferring calls to various departments
  • Entering new customer data into the Customer Relationship Management system
  • Maintaining current customer data and updating as necessary
  • Adhering to all legal compliance involving financial receivables and automotive repossession laws

Requirements

  • Strong communication skills
  • “Go-Getter” attitude and willingness to push for success
  • Strong phone skills and not afraid to make outbound calls on a daily basis
  • Attention to detail
  • Can be friendly yet authoritative when dealing with past due accounts (i.e. velvet hammer)
  • Proficient with computer work as well as email and Microsoft Office products
  • The ability to work autonomously and without constant direction
  • High School Diploma
