Overview:
Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and maintain SAP BO reports, dashboards, and universes (IDT/UDT).
  • Write and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and joins across multiple data sources.
  • Work closely with business analysts and stakeholders to gather reporting requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Develop and manage data models and BO Universes to support self-service reporting.
  • Ensure report performance, accuracy, and alignment with business KPIs.
  • Conduct unit testing, UAT support, and production deployment of reports.
  • Collaborate with database administrators and data warehouse teams to ensure data consistency and integrity.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to report generation, performance, or data mismatches.
Must Have Technical Skills:
  • Strong hands-on experience in SAP BusinessObjects (Web Intelligence, IDT/UDT, Universe Design, Crystal Reports).
  • Expert-level SQL skills - ability to write, analyze, and optimize complex SQL queries.
  • Experience working with relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, or PostgreSQL.
  • Good understanding of data warehousing concepts, ETL processes, and reporting best practices.
  • Knowledge of joins, subqueries, CTEs, and performance tuning in SQL.
  • Familiarity with report scheduling, distribution, and security setup in BO.
Nice to Have Skills:
  • Exposure to Power BI, Tableau, or other visualization tools.
