  • Advanced SQL proficiency, with demonstrated experience writing complex analytical queries on Snowflake (preferred).
  • Solid understanding of dimensional modeling, ELT/ETL concepts, and modern data warehouse architecture.
  • Ability to translate business questions into data models, metrics, and visualizations that are accurate, performant, and easy to interpret.
  • Strong data visualization sensibility — knows when to use which chart type, how to design for the audience, and how to avoid common visualization pitfalls.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and publish interactive reports and dashboards in Tableau and Power BI that meet business requirements for accuracy, performance, and usability.

  • Implement row-level security, workspace governance, and certified dataset patterns in Power BI; manage permissions, projects, and data sources in Tableau desktop.
  • Establish and follow BI development best practices, including version control, code reviews, naming conventions, documentation, and CI/CD where applicable.
  • Monitor dashboard performance and usage, proactively optimizing slow queries, redesigning inefficient visuals, and retiring unused content.
  • Support self-service analytics by curating trusted datasets, providing enablement, and mentoring business users on BI tools.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with dbt for data modeling and transformation in Snowflake.
  • Familiarity with data analysis, automation, or advanced analytics integration.

  • 3+ years of demonstrable production experience building and supporting reports/dashboards in both Tableau and Power BI.
  • 2+ years of experience working with cloud data platforms; direct experience with Snowflake strongly preferred.
