Job description

Job Description

Position Overview
As a Manageron theConstruction Contractsteam, you willbe part of Invenergy's project management group and specialize inthe execution ofEPC contracts.Your work will be focused onshepherdingmultiple projectsthrough the contracting stage.You will use your subject matterexpertisein contracts and detailed understanding of scopes of work, specifications, contract terms & conditions, andexhibitsto mitigate risksand ensure consistent execution of critical construction contracts for Invenergy.

You willbe responsible formaintainingconsistency, drivinginnovation, and controllingrisk invarious typesofcontractsfor renewable energy projectsby supportingthe construction business groupwithcritical insight, guidance,and strategy oncontractingstructures, contractnegotiations, andrisk mitigation.Beingwithin theproject managementorganization, you will interact withmultiple internal and external teams to effectivelymonitorthe risk profiles of contracts and support executing them in compliance with company standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensurestandard contract documents are consistently andproperly usedwithin all RFPs and EPC contracts executed by Invenergy's renewable project management team.

  • Guidethe preparation of RFPs for EPC contracts.

  • Organizecontract negotiationsandcollaborate withinternal teamsto supporttimelycontractexecutionsformultipleprojects at any given time.

  • Ensure EPC contracts are executed according to industry best practices and in alignment with Invenergy's contract processes.

  • Collaborate with engineering,procurement,safety,environmental, project controls, and other internal teams to update standard forms of EPC contracts (including exhibits, scope of work templates, and specifications)and, as needed, develop new forms of contract that meet Invenergy's requirements.

  • Reportcontract statusesto management,includinglevel of conformancewith standards and process.

  • Provide insightregardingrisk management strategies during the contracting phase of projects.

  • Understandrelationshipswithmultiple contractors andpromote effective communicationand positive portfolio-level contract discussions.

  • Manage multipleinitiativesrelated to contract process improvementaimed at minimizing risk during EPC contracting.

  • Develop training materials on contracting best practices and standard processes;leadregular training sessions.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management,legal,ora relatedtechnical discipline.

  • 5+ years ofprofessionalexperience inprojectmanagement,construction, and/or contractingof large-scale projects.

  • Experience drafting and negotiating complex contracts.

  • Strongwritten andverbalcommunicationskills.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

  • Eligible to work in the United States without the need for employer visa sponsorship now or in the future.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2+ years ina role focused on developing and executing EPC contracts.
  • Ability to travel up to10%ofthetime.
  • Excellentteamwork,collaborative leadership,conflict resolution,and communication skills which extend across all organizational and management levels.
  • Ability to multi-task and managea variety ofdeliverables at a time.
  • Desire to work in a dynamic environment alongside people with multiple interests and backgrounds.
  • Excellent organizational, writing, and interpersonal skills.
  • High degreeofintegrity and understanding of ethical industrypractices.
  • Experience in the power and/or renewable energy industry.

Base Pay

118,000.00 - 165,000.00 USD Annual
Bonus: 25% - 40%

The base pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target salary for the position. Invenergy considers a number of factors when determining base pay offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education and skills.
