Ready to grow the future of a leading vertical market? Hubbell is looking for a Business Development Manager to spearhead growth in the Renewable Energy market. In this role, you'll be the driving force behind strategic partnerships with Project Owners, contractors, integrators, and EPC firms. You'll influence product specifications, open new market opportunities, and empower field sales with your technical expertise.

We are open to any North Central US location for the candidate to reside. Territory includes MN,ND,SD,IL,MI,IA,WI. 

A Day In The Life

Every day at Hubbell is different and you'll contribute in many ways. On any given day, you'll make a difference by: 

  • Establish and strengthen partnerships with top tier owners, engineering firms and EPC's in the North Central region.
  • Cultivating and maintaining relationships with key customers, understanding their needs, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Working closely with marketing, product development, and other teams to align strategies and improve sales processes.
  • Developing and managing sales budgets, forecasting sales projections, and managing expenses to optimize profitability.
  • Keeping up with industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to identify Opportunities or potential threats to Hubbell's sales success.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of Renewable market trends and technologies.
  • Support field sales with technical expertise, product training, and educational demonstrations.
  • Track key projects from inception to completion using Salesforce and Power BI.
  • Stay current with industry standards and communicate updates to the sales team.
  • Represent Hubbell at major trade shows and conferences (Intersolar, Cleanpower, RE+, and regionals)
  • Work with owner/developers and engineering firms to secure Hubbell product specifications in new designs and projects.
  • Plan and execute strategic contractor events, regional meetings, and industry trade shows.

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or Communications (preferred).
  • Experience in electrical or renewable markets (preferred).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Salesforce, and Power BI.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% 
  • Self-motivated, team-oriented, and results-driven.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to identify and resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
