Overview

First Citizens Energy Finance leverages its deep industry knowledge and expertise to offer comprehensive financing solutions for renewable and conventional power generation. The unit manages a large, diverse portfolio that includes investments in all asset classes across the energy sector.

This is a hybrid role, with the expectation that time working will regularly take place inside and outside of a company office.

The Dierctor/Managing Director, Relationship Manager – Renewable Energy is responsible for acquiring, managing and enhancing Energy Finance relationships. Develops and maintains an active prospect list, client outreach plan and quality referral sources. The Managing Director role is the primary contact to provide products and services which support the unique financial needs of clients. Providing senior secured debt financing for thermal, renewable, and battery storage energy projects as well as structured corporate debt. This position collaborates with various corporate partners to build and manage full banking relationships. May act as a team lead, mentor or resource for less experienced team members.

Responsibilities
  • Sales & Marketing - Utilizes direct calling and centers of influence (COIs) to develop relationships and generate financing for clients. Identifies sales opportunities through clients and referral partners. Stays informed on market and industry trends, and develops strategies based on changing market needs.
  • Relationship Development - Maintains and develops influential relationships within the market to create sales and referral opportunities. Manages customer and prospect relationships, referring sales partners or other associates as appropriate to carry sales relationships to completion.
  • Operations and Administration - Comply with all regulations, bank policies, procedures and delegated authorities to manage risk related to credit, operational, reputational, regulatory and legal aspects of personal interactions, customer transactions and financial exposures. Complete required training by established deadlines.
  • Loan Support - Works in partnership with underwriting and portfolio management teams to package deals for Credit Administration approval.
Qualifications Director Level:

Bachelor's Degree and 8 years of experience in Commercial Banking, Relationship Management, Sales OR High School Diploma or GED and 12 years of experience in Commercial Banking, Relationship Management, Sales

Preferred Education: MBA

Preferred Area of Study: Business Administration, Finance, Economics

Preferred Area of Experience: Energy Finance

Preferred Skills:

8+ years of Sales experience in Energy Finance/Renewable Energy within the Banking, Financial Services, Capital Markets Industry.

Senior Director:

Bachelor's Degree and 10 years of experience in Commercial Banking, Relationship Management, Sales OR High School Diploma or GED and 14 years of experience in Commercial Banking, Relationship Management, Sales

Preferred Skills:

12 years of Sales experience in Energy Finance/Renewable Energy within the Banking, Financial Services, Capital Markets Industry.

Director Level:

If hired in New York or California, the base pay for this position is generally between $235,000 and $285,000. Actual starting base pay will be determined based on skills, experience, location, and other non-discriminatory factors permitted by law. For some roles, total compensation may also include variable incentives, bonuses, benefits, and/or other awards as outlined in the offer of employment

Senior Director:

If hired in New York or California, the base pay for this position is generally between $275,000.00 and $350,000.00. Actual starting base pay will be determined based on skills, experience, location, and other non-discriminatory factors permitted by law. For some roles, total compensation may also include variable incentives, bonuses, benefits, and/or other awards as outlined in the offer of employment.
