Founded in the Spring of 2021, Patriot REC (PREC) is Jay Cashman, Inc.'s tax equity investment arm, a multidisciplinary development and construction company. PREC invests nationally across all renewable energy asset classes which generate investment and production tax credits.
The Renewable Energy Financial Analyst supports the evaluation, execution, and management of renewable energy investments across multiple asset classes, including wind and solar projects. This role works closely with the deal team to perform financial modeling, transaction analysis, and due diligence to support tax equity investments. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, detail-oriented, and eager to learn about renewable energy finance while contributing to the company's growth.
Key Responsibilities
  • Support all stages of the investment process, from deal origination through execution and management.
  • Build and maintain complex financial models to evaluate potential investments and returns.
  • Prepare investment memos, presentations, and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Conduct due diligence and coordinate with external partners, advisors, and legal teams.
  • Perform market research related to renewable energy, tax laws, and energy industry trends.
  • Monitor existing portfolio investments and assist with reporting requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure projects align with company strategy and financial goals.
  • Provide general support to senior team members on special projects and initiatives.

Minimum Requirements / Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Coursework or experience in financial modeling, corporate finance, or energy markets preferred.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Excellent analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
