SUMMARY:
Responsible for negotiating, preparing and recording options and leases for the renewable energy industry.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
โ€ข Prepares leases and lease option agreements, including attachments and supporting documentation.
โ€ข Updates clients on lease and option status.
โ€ข Reviews, with site acquisition agent, lease documents to ensure proper execution and resolves any deficiencies.
โ€ข Records options and lease documents.
โ€ข Prepares leases, easements and lease option agreements, including attachments and supporting documentation.
โ€ข Reviews title information and prepares curative documents.
โ€ข Coordinates title curative work with title attorney and Title Company.
โ€ข Records title curative documents and convey recorded documents to appropriate parties.
โ€ข Reviews invoices for title work submits check requests, and forwards correct invoices to the client for payment.
โ€ข Maintains weekly status reports for title matters, if applicable.
โ€ข Provides lease and title training support.
โ€ข Research property ownership and land values to determine an ideal location(s) for development.
โ€ข Contact prospective landowners and negotiate terms of leases and lease option agreements.
โ€ข Participate in site walk(s) with client representatives.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
โ€ข Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
โ€ข Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage own workload and deliverables with minimal supervision under strict timelines.
โ€ข Ability to read and understand maps (including street, topo, ownership, and quad maps).
โ€ข Skilled in Microsoft Professional Office Software.
Please note, this is not an entry-level position that would include training. Candidates are expected to have a minimum of one (1) year of relevant lease and negotiation experience in the renewable energy industry (no exceptions). Candidates must be willing to travel to the project locations and remain in-market for an extended period of time.
