Job description

Interested in joining a growing company where you will work with talented colleagues, enhance a supportive and energetic culture, and be part of the climate solution? At Energy Solutions, we focus on the big impacts. And we believe that market-based programs can be a powerful force to deliver large-scale energy, carbon, and water-use savings. Since 1995, we've harnessed that power to offer proven, performance-based solutions for our utility, government, and institutional customers.
We are seeking a Salesforce Developer to join our Information Technology team. This person will be responsible for delivering and maintaining solutions across Energy Solutions' Salesforce CRM environments. This is a hybrid work opportunity at one of our West Coast offices in Portland, OR.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Troubleshoot and resolve Salesforce technical issues and system errors across both instances
  • Support end users with Salesforce functionality, access, and reporting needs
  • Monitor integrations and automations for failures or performance degradation
  • Develop, test, and deploy Salesforce solutions including Flows, Apex, LWC, and integrations
  • Build and maintain integration between Salesforce and external systems (portals, ERP, third-party platforms)
  • Develop and maintain reports and dashboards to support operational and leadership needs
  • Perform system updates and ensure compatibility with Salesforce release cycles (3x per year)
  • Review and optimize data model, automation logic, and platform governance across both orgs
  • Support system audits to ensure compliance with security, privacy, and data governance standards
  • Test and implement Salesforce-delivered upgrades and feature releases
  • Provide training and documentation to business users on new functionality

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, HR Technology, or related field.
  • 3 years of experience in Salesforce development
  • Certified in Salesforce Platform Developer I and/or II
  • Proven experience with Apex, LWC, Flows, and Salesforce integrations
  • Experience supporting multiple Salesforce instances or multi-org environments preferred
  • Familiarity with data migration, portal integrations, and case management configurations
  • Strong knowledge of Salesforce platform architecture, security model, and release management
  • Demonstrated proficiency in REST/SOAP APIs, JSON/XML, and web services
  • Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and technical documentation skills
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with business stakeholders and non-technical users

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certified in Salesforce Integration Architecture Designer
  • Experience with portal-to-Salesforce integrations (e.g., Experience Cloud or third-party portals)
  • Familiarity with Agile methodology and DevOps practices (Git, CI/CD)
  • Prior experience in energy, utilities, or government program administration
  • Exposure to Salesforce Einstein or AI/Agent Force features

The salary range for this role is $103,925-$129,189, with a target compensation of $103,925 - $120,000 based on experience and qualifications.
Compensation is commensurate with experience and includes a generous retirement package. Energy Solutions provides an excellent benefits package including medical, dental and vision insurance, other pre-tax contribution plans and an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP).
AI Use
At Energy Solutions we believe in the importance of authentic interactions and equitable opportunities. We base our candidate selection on one's own skills, knowledge, and experience. To ensure the integrity and fairness of our interview process, the use of artificial intelligence (AI) tools (including Generative AI) or other means to generate or assist with responses during interviews is strictly prohibited. This practice supports our commitment to create a transparent and equitable space where skills, knowledge and experience can truly shine.

Information will be requested to perform the compulsory background check. A drug screen and authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely are preconditions of employment. Energy Solutions is an equal opportunity employer.
