Job description

Job Title: Transportation Group Manager Location: Canonsburg, PA Type: Direct Hire Compensation: $190,000.00 Contractor Work Model: Hybrid – onsite and remote Hours: 40.0

Responsibilities

  • Lead transportation planning and design teams, overseeing delivery of infrastructure projects that affect community mobility.
  • Manage project scope, schedule, budget, and quality; proactively resolve technical, schedule, and financial issues as they arise.
  • Develop and sustain trusted relationships with public and private sector clients, including state agencies and local municipalities.
  • Contribute to business development through proposal writing, client engagement, and marketing activities.
  • Provide mentorship and professional development to staff within a collaborative, growth-oriented team environment.
  • Navigate complex public processes and obtain municipal approvals for transportation infrastructure projects.
  • Participate in professional organizations and community activities to maintain visibility within the industry.

Requirements

  • B.S. in Civil Engineering or related field
  • 15+ years of experience in transportation, roadway, or highway engineering
  • Active Professional Engineering (PE) license
  • 5+ years of project management experience
  • Financial acumen with hands-on experience using dashboards, metrics, and data-driven performance management
  • Familiarity with PennDOT or PTC design standards
  • Track record of business development success in the transportation sector
  • Proficiency in MS Office; MicroStation experience preferred
