This is a remote position.
Workday Consultant - Security, Time & Absence, and Payroll
We are seeking a Workday Consultant with expertise in Workday Security, Time & Absence, and Payroll. This role will be responsible for configuring and maintaining security roles, supporting time tracking, absence management, and payroll. The ideal candidate must have hands-on Workday experience, strong analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate with HR, Payroll, and IT teams to optimize system functionality.
Responsibilities
Workday Security
  • Maintain and configure Workday Security roles, ensuring appropriate access and compliance.
  • Conduct monthly and quarterly security audits and resolve access issues.
  • Configure Business Process Security Policies and Domain Securities across functional areas, including Core HCM, Recruiting, Benefits, Absence (Time Off and Leave), Compensation, Advanced Compensation, Talent, and Reporting.
  • Research and resolve day-to-day configurable security challenges.
  • Identify new enhancements and review feature releases for configurable security.
  • Define role-based and user-based security, aligning with functional SMEs to ensure business processes reflect the agreed-upon roles.
Workday Time & Absence
  • Support the configuration and management of Time Tracking and Absence Management modules.
  • Assist with time calculation rules, accrual setups, and eligibility requirements.
  • Collaborate with HR and stakeholders to ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies.
Workday Payroll
  • Assist in configuring and maintaining Workday Payroll setup, including earnings, deductions, and pay configurations.
  • Partner with payroll teams to optimize processing and resolve discrepancies.
  • Ensure payroll system compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Support reporting needs of the payroll team across entities.
Skills & Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in Workday Security, Time & Absence, and Payroll.
  • Experience using Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB).
  • Strong understanding of Workday business processes and security framework.
  • Ability to analyze system issues and provide effective solutions.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to handle highly sensitive data with confidentiality and integrity.
  • Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize, multi-task, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Global Workday experience is a plus.
