About Us:

Karbo Communications, Inc. is a top-rated Tech PR and marketing agency dedicated to powering rapid results and lasting impact for technology companies. Karbo's Rapid Results Method is driven by awareness, data analytics and delivers unmatched visibility, credibility, authority and measurable ROI.

From emerging startups to billion-dollar brands, Karbo's executive-led teams have contributed to the success of some of the world's most innovative companies, including Apple, Hootsuite, Nutanix, Juniper Networks, Nvidia, Oracle, AppDynamics, Stytch/Twilio, Greensparc, Nerdwallet, Snowflake, GoDaddy, Penguin Solutions, Intel, Deep Origin, and Equinix.

You will have the opportunity to work closely with experienced leaders, expand your skills, take on greater responsibility, and help shape both client programs and the agency.

Responsibilities:

As a Senior Account Executive, you will play an important role in the daily management and success of client accounts.

You will develop and execute media relations programs for technology companies and products, regularly pitch technology, vertical, and business media, and help identify compelling stories and creative opportunities for clients.

You will manage account campaigns on a daily basis, contribute strategic thinking to client plans, programs, campaigns, and pitches, and take ownership of projects from idea through completion.

You will also work closely with your teammates, clients, and senior agency leaders to solve problems, manage changing priorities, and consistently deliver high-quality work.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Regular placement of companies and products in tech, vertical and business publications
  • A creative mindset, including proactively bringing new ideas for integrated campaigns
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral) including communicating with clients by phone, email and in person
  • Manage account campaigns and administration
  • Think strategically on everything from planning and programs to pitches, etc.
  • Be the eyes and ears of your clients’ industries, by studying their markets, technology, news, and competition consistently and bringing those insights to the teams and clients
  • Take responsibility for projects and to see them through to completion
  • Flexible with changing priorities and deadlines
  • Excellent project and time management skills
  • Writing content for a variety of purposes including pitches, awards applications, speaking proposals, press releases, blog posts, social copy, byline articles, and case studies
  • Preparing and delivering results reports with analysis
  • Know how to fly alone, but also love being part of a team
  • You should have at least three years of experience successfully placing technology companies and products in trade publications, with business press experience strongly preferred.
  • Preferably a college graduate with a degree in PR, communications, journalism, marketing, English or related field
Perks:

Karbo rewards generously for results, and compensation is competitive and based on experience and skills.

Our benefits are designed to support both your career and your life outside of work. They include generous cash bonuses, liberal PTO and flex time, additional paid time off, paid medical and dental premiums, a 401K plan, paid mobile data plans, education support, and Friday afternoons off year-round.

We also make time to have fun together. Karbo hosts a yearly company offsite along with quarterly outings that have included Giants games, sailing, spa days, and wine tasting trips to Napa.

This is a fully remote position with occasional meetings in the San Francisco Bay Area.

If you know tech, know how to tell a great story, and want the opportunity to do excellent work, grow quickly, and be part of a smart, supportive team, we would love to hear from you.
