WeShip Express is looking for a driven Sr. Sales Representative to help expand our business in the Seattle area. This is a remote-based position and must reside in the Seattle, WA area.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

The Sr. Sales Representative will generate and develop new and existing business within a specified region or industry.

Essential Functions and Basic Duties

  • Achieve assigned KPIs and revenue goals in prospecting, portfolio growth, and new sales.
  • Effectively communicate WeShip Express value proposition to prospects and clients, and be able to discuss topics like shipping, e-commerce, and regulated commodities.
  • Source leads, make contact and follow up and direct sell to customers to achieve your annual quota.
  • Engage with the Senior Sales team to share leads back and forth
  • Present pricing and contracts to customers and effectively negotiate deals.
  • Evaluate P&L, costs, and make strategic margin decisions for the business.
  • Discuss technology concepts at a high-level such as API, billing file, tracking portal, etc. (This is not a highly technical role)
  • On a limited basis, step in as escalation point to support customer concerns
  • Use CRM effectively and ensure all relevant customer details are entered appropriately.
  • Ensure smooth account handoff to Account Management Department after a deal has launched
  • Work closely with finance to ensure all pricing and financial terms (including miscellaneous or special pricing programs) are accurately populating customer invoices. Ensuring that any inaccuracies or errors on invoices are resolved in a timely fashion.
  • Directly plan, implement, and manage solutions to grow account base, while driving results that deliver market share growth for WSE.
  • Develop mutually valuable relationships with customers, through understanding their key needs and requirements.
  • Serve as the communication lead between key customers and internal teams.

QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge Skills and Abilities Required

  • Experience in shipping and logistics industry with UPS or Fedex experience required
  • Experience selling fulfillment and DTC shipping solutions to wine and alcohol e-commerce sellers required
  • Must be a self-starter and proactive; possess a hunter mentality.
  • Commitment to excellence and high standards.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good judgement with the ability to make timely and sound decisions
  • Creative, flexible, and innovative team player
  • Demonstrated ability to make successful presentations to individuals and/or groups at all levels of an organization.
  • Strong organizational skills; able to manage priorities and workflow.
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of various teams and committees.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, and percentages.
  • Excellent problem resolution and consultative sales skills.
  • Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prepare reports and business correspondence.
  • The position requires the incumbent to drive their own car to visit client sites; often multiple sites in one day; must possess valid drivers license. Mileage will be reimbursed.

Experience:

  • Five or more years of direct sales experience

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) in business, marketing, sales or related field or equivalent
