Program Coordinator, ASAPconnectRemote within California, Must reside in California; Southern California preferred; approximately 20-25% travel required.

ASAPconnect was launched in 2008 and has been a fiscally sponsored project of the Foundation for California Community Colleges (FoundationCCC) since 2022. ASAPconnect supports programs for K-12 students throughout California. ASAPconnect helps to ensure children and youth across California benefit from high-quality out-of-school time learning and enrichment opportunities, resulting in positive developmental, academic, and wellness outcomes and increased readiness for college, career, and civic life.

What You'll Do

The Program Coordinator works with the ASAPconnect team and coordinates with other statewide and national partners to ultimately increase the quality of out-of-school time programs in California. The Program Coordinator provides executive level programmatic, operational, and administrative support to the leadership team of ASAPconnect; coordinates project and field activities as well as office services, operations and procedures; and maintains project records and documents to ensure organizational effectiveness and efficiency. As a member of the ASAPconnect team, the Program Coordinator makes independent decisions about day-to-day operations and completes project management responsibilities in partnership with the Manager.

  • Coordinate the activities of ASAPconnect team members including scheduling meetings, coordinating meeting logistics, and documenting meeting notes.
  • Provide core support for in-person and virtual employee and partner meetings. Become extremely familiar with virtual meeting technology, facilitate portions of meetings when appropriate.
  • Coordinate with ASAPconnect team members to set annual calendars, ensure meeting materials are prepared in advance, and implement ASAPconnect team communications.
  • Support ASAPconnect communications strategy implementation including the development of documents and publications, website development and design, and social media. Edit and proofread written materials for content consistency.
  • Effectively plan, coordinate, organize, and assist with field activities, meetings, events, learning sessions, presentations, conferences, and site visits by overseeing meeting planning activities, securing venues, preparing materials, coordinating and scheduling speakers, arranging and coordinating on-site event staff coverage, making travel arrangements and ensuring documentation and follow-up.
  • Attend conferences and events throughout the state to help disseminate information and materials, as well as supporting and occasionally delivering conference workshop presentations when appropriate.

Attributes for Success

  • Minimum of two years of relevant experience with office management, project management, coordination, customer service, or related responsibilities including some experience providing executive-level support required.
  • Familiarity with or experience working in afterschool programming, and/or related education and/or youth development fields.
  • Strong attention to detail is required.
  • Solid organizational abilities including planning, project management, and task facilitation.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office programs including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as Google Documents, Spreadsheets, and Presentations.

Budgeted Hourly Pay Range:
