Texas Oncology is looking for a Quality Analytics Nurse (RN) to join our team!This is a REMOTE position will support All Texas Oncology locations in all departments and specialties. This position will work on various Value Based Care projects. This is a full-time Monday-Friday hours (8:00am-4pm) position with no weekends, call or major holidays.

What does the Quality Analytics Nurse (RN) do?
Under general supervision, the Quality Analytics Nurse (RN) supports all activities associated with the development and implementation of quality and compliance projects. Assists with the implementation continuous quality improvement programs that are in partnership with third party payors. Supports and adheres to the US Oncology Compliance Program, to include the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.
Responsibilities
The essential duties and responsibilities:
  • Performs audits to ensure quality and compliance standards are consistently met.
  • Assists in meeting regulatory and statutory requirements by providing standardized and customized statistical data.
  • Responsible for trending, researching, analyzing and maintaining data bases for quality and compliance inititives.
  • Provide project support to the clinical governance council and QI committees.
  • Assists and supports the implementation of practice wide clinical qualifiy initiatives and or PQE initiatives.
  • Supports Compliance and Human Resources by assisting in training and in services.
  • Assist the sites in peer review and E & M audits and reporting and other audits as assigned.
  • Variance reporting trending.
  • Resolution of patient and customer service complaints, tracking.
  • HIPAA and Compliance trainging, auditing.
  • Assists in policy editing and revisions.
  • Researches and responds to routine and non-routine inquiries in a timely and professional manner. Obtains assistant to resolve complex inquiries, in order to discuss and learn.
  • Other duties as requested or assigned.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate for the Quality Analytics Nurse (RN) will have the following background and experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing or related healthcare, business, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in quality assurance, statistical analysis, or health care management.
  • Proficiency with computer systems and Microsoft Office Outlook, Word, Power Point, and Excel required.

Education/Training
Level I
  • Graduate from an accredited program for professional nursing education, BSN preferred.
  • RN state license and current registration with the State Board of Nursing in practicing state.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Must maintain continuing education requirements.
  • Entry level - 0-3 years nursing experience, oncology experience strongly preferred

Level II
  • Minimum three (3) years of nursing experience, oncology experience strongly preferred

Level Senior
      • In addition to levels I and II:
        • Minimum five (5) years nursing experience, including at least one year in oncology strongly preferred
        • Oncology certification preferred
