In addition, FFG has its own iconic universes such as Arkham Horror Files, Terrinoth Legends, and Twilight Imperium. Throughout the course of the studio's rich history, FFG has published games in over thirty languages and distributed to more than fifty territories. Job Summary

The Director, Trading Card Games (TCG), is responsible for overseeing the P&L for the TCG vertical within FFG Studio. This role involves leading a multidisciplinary team, including product line managers, producers, design teams and visual teams, all focused on the specific product type. The Director will ensure alignment with the Studio's overall strategy and goals, drive business forward, and manage financial and operational risks within their vertical.  

The Director, TCG will challenge the team to create and craft engaging experiences that entertain and captivate our growing customer base. This position ensures that each game line has impactful strategy and marketing campaigns to stand out in the industry. 

What will your role involve
  • Manage the profit and loss for game lines within their vertical, with support from the VP, Trading Card Games.  
  • Approve product budgets and plans at the vertical level. 
  • Ensure the integrity of intellectual property across game lines. 
  • Work with marketing to decide product line priorities. 
  • Foster a culture that supports the studio's vision, strategy, and mission. 
  • Develop, coach, and mentor a strong leadership team, empowering them to achieve the studio's ambitions. 
  • Collaborate with the VP, TCG to build three-year product plans. 
  • Assess product life cycles, performance, and sales strategies. 
  • Partner and advise on marketing plans and execution. 
  • Lead risk assessment and management to keep game lines on schedule and budget. 
  • Implement and maintain KPIs to track project quality, delivery, and financial status, reporting quarterly to the VP, TCG.  
  • Work with the VP, TCG to determine key success metrics for each product line. 
  • Lead process improvement initiatives to increase profitability and efficiently.  
  • Work with Publishing Services to address out-of-line orders from DUs. 
  • Additional tasks as necessary for business success, as assigned by management. 
What do you bring

Education/Experience 

  • A BA in General Business or equivalent experience. 
  • Minimum of 5+ years' experience managing people and leading teams. 
  • 5+ years' experience managing P&Ls and operating budgets for game products. 
  • Experience in the gaming industry preferred.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Ability to multitask effectively while focusing on key drivers of studio success.

Actual compensation for this role is based on several factors, including but not limited to job-related skills, qualifications, experience, market conditions and specific work location. Base Salary Range: $115,000-$130,000.
