About the Role

A well-established litigation firm is seeking a skilled Insurance Coverage Attorney to join its growing team. The ideal candidate has strong coverage litigation experience, excellent writing skills, and the ability to manage a diverse caseload with minimal supervision. This is a fully remote role, representing insurers in a broad range of coverage matters.


Key Responsibilities

  • Independently manage an active coverage litigation docket
  • Draft and argue motions, including summary judgment and discovery motions
  • Analyze policy language and advise on coverage positions, including duty to defend and reservation of rights
  • Conduct depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts
  • Attend hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials as needed
  • Prepare clients, adjusters, witnesses, and experts for depositions and testimony
  • Evaluate claims, assess coverage exposure, and communicate case strategy to carriers and clients


Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
  • Active bar license in good standing (state to be confirmed based on candidate location)
  • 3-10+ years of insurance coverage or civil litigation experience required
  • Strong background in coverage analysis, declaratory judgment actions, and policy interpretation
  • Exceptional writing, research, and analytical skills
  • Proven ability to handle a litigation caseload independently, fully working from home
  • Professional communication skills with clients, adjusters, and opposing counsel
  • Trial experience is a plus but not required
