Job Title: Senior Title Examiner

Location: Santa Paula, CA
Employment Type: Full-Time
Pay: $25$40 per hour (DOE)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Title Examiner to research, review, and analyze real estate records to determine property ownership and identify issues affecting title. This position plays a critical role in supporting real estate transactions by ensuring title reports are accurate, complete, and compliant with industry standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Research and examine public records, deeds, mortgages, liens, judgments, easements, and maps
  • Verify legal ownership and chain of title for residential and commercial properties
  • Identify title defects, encumbrances, restrictions, and other matters affecting ownership
  • Prepare detailed title reports, commitments, and supporting documentation
  • Analyze title information and recommend solutions to resolve title issues
  • Work closely with title officers, escrow personnel, attorneys, lenders, and customers
  • Ensure compliance with applicable local, state, and federal regulations
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of title research activities
  • Manage multiple files while meeting deadlines and quality standards
  • Communicate findings, updates, and recommendations clearly and professionally
Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with a title insurance company required
  • Strong background in title examination and title research
  • Knowledge of real estate transactions, title insurance, and property law
  • Familiarity with legal descriptions, vesting, liens, judgments, and recorded documents
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
Preferred Qualifications
