National Title Coordinator Position Description
New York, NY | Hybrid (3 Days per Week in Office)
Our client, a leading organization in the title insurance and commercial real estate services industry, is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented National Title Coordinator to join its growing team. This position plays a vital role in supporting commercial title transactions from file opening through closing by coordinating documentation, managing workflows, and ensuring exceptional service to both internal teams and clients.
What You'll Do
- Open and establish new title files while ensuring all required documentation is received and accurately entered into company systems.
- Submit title orders and coordinate with title examiners, underwriters, settlement teams, and third-party vendors.
- Monitor transaction milestones and proactively follow up to keep files moving toward successful closings.
- Review incoming documents for accuracy and completeness.
- Prepare and organize transaction files, correspondence, and supporting documentation.
- Coordinate with attorneys, lenders, brokers, clients, and internal departments to obtain required information and resolve outstanding items.
- Respond promptly and professionally to client inquiries via phone and email.
- Maintain accurate electronic and physical files while ensuring compliance with company procedures and industry standards.
- Assist with scheduling closings and coordinating post-closing documentation when needed.
- Track deadlines, outstanding requirements, and transaction status updates.
- Support underwriters and other team members with administrative and operational tasks as needed.
- Provide exceptional customer service while maintaining a high level of professionalism and responsiveness.
What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree preferred - but not required.
- 3+ years of title insurance, escrow, settlement, or real estate transaction experience; commercial and/or national title experience is preferred.
- Working knowledge of title insurance principles, real estate transactions, closing procedures, and settlement processes.
- Experience opening title files and coordinating multiple transactions simultaneously.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize competing deadlines in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong customer service orientation and relationship-building abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and title production software.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with attorneys, underwriters, lenders, clients, and internal teams.
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and commitment to delivering high-quality service.
