Job description

Position Summary
This highly flexible role will allow the right candidate to work remotely without the administrative and client-development demands of a shareholder/partner track position.
Ogletree Deakins is one of the largest international law firms based in the U.S., with 60 offices throughout North America and Europe. We have one of the largest business immigration practices in the U.S.; our immigration practice group consists of experienced, dedicated immigration lawyers and paralegals who work with domestic and international corporations and businesses to develop strategies to facilitate the international transfer of skilled employees.
This position may be remote, but the successful candidate must reside in a state where we have a physical office.
We will consider qualified applicants with criminal histories in the manner consistent with the Los Angeles Fair Chance Initiative for Hiring.
Qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records will be considered for the position in accordance with the Fair Chance Ordinance.
Requirements
  • Juris Doctor. Qualified candidates must be and remain licensed to practice law and be in good standing in their primary state of residence.
  • A minimum of 5+ years of experience practicing business immigration as a licensed attorney.
  • Experience working in a high-volume business immigration practice group.
  • Outstanding academic credentials.
  • Must be well-organized with the capacity to prioritize and take initiative in case management.
  • Excellent skills in research and writing affidavits and briefs.
  • Excellent proofreading, editing, reading comprehension, and time management skills.
