Job description

Ice Miller seeks a mid-senior level M&A associate attorney to join our business practice group in Cleveland. Ideal candidates will have four (4) to eight (8) years of experience.
About the Role: In this position, you will have the opportunity to work on a broad range of transactional and general corporate work. Candidates should have broad-based M&A and corporate experience and significant experience drafting and reviewing a wide variety of corporate documents. Candidates must have excellent written and oral communication skills, a team-oriented mentality, and be a motivated self-starter with strong law school credentials and references.
Responsibilities:
  • Lead and/or assist in advising corporate clients on acquisitions, dispositions, minority investments, and general corporate legal issues
  • Collaborate closely with senior attorneys and partners to draft and negotiate transaction documents, ensuring high standards of quality and compliance
  • Manage the progress of deals, providing strategic insights and navigating complex deal structures
  • Develop and maintain strong advisory relationships with clients, contributing directly to their success
  • Take on high levels of responsibility and manage multiple projects independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Have opportunities for advancement, including partnership track, in a collegial environment
  • Collaborate across offices, especially with a busy corporate transactional practice
  • Receive training opportunities with growing levels of responsibility
  • Engage in business development activities

Requirements:
  • J.D. from an accredited law school with strong academic credentials
  • At least four (4) years of experience practicing law in a law firm and in-house environment
  • Active law license in Ohio
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent analytical skills and business judgement
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Must have permanent authorization to work in the United States
