• Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments to evaluate the mental health status, strengths, and needs of patients entering the detox program.
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) tailored to substance use disorder and co-occurring mental health issues.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists and nurses, to devise coordinated care plans that align with patient-specific goals and treatment needs.
• Educate patients and their families about mental health diagnoses, possible treatment options, and effective medication management strategies.
• Facilitate individual, group, and family therapy sessions that incorporate evidence-based practices and support recovery-oriented outcomes.
• Design personalized treatment plans that incorporate patient preferences, leveraging tools and frameworks that enhance engagement and accountability in the recovery process.
• Advocate for patients within the mental health system, assisting them in navigating resources, rights, and support channels as required.
• Lead therapeutic groups, psychoeducational sessions, and discharge planning meetings to ensure continuity of care and support post-treatment planning.
• Participate in ongoing training sessions to stay abreast of the latest practices in mental health, enhancing your skills and contributing to team knowledge.

This role is focused on supporting individuals undergoing detoxification from substances, as well as addressing any concurrent mental health concerns. The patients you will work with may range from individuals navigating the early stages of recovery to those with complex co-occurring disorders. Your ability to empathize and provide tailored interventions will play a pivotal role in their recovery journeys, promoting mental resilience and lifelong coping strategies.

• Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
• Active state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
• Thorough understanding of mental health disorders, effective treatment modalities, and crisis intervention strategies.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.

• Prior experience working in detox centers or substance use treatment facilities is highly desirable.
