Industry Segments: Sand & gravel, potash, phosphate, soda ash, borax, soda ash, sugar and any other industrial minerals plants and coal fired power plants. Nominated hard rock mines outside of AZ and NV.

OVERVIEW:
To manage all aspects of sales and market development for all KSB slurry and non-slurry product lines within given region and industry segments, with the intent to grow company sales, profits, and market share. Additionally, to create service opportunities and collaborate those with KSB Supreme SERV teams.

Manage and further develop the existing sales representative network in the region.

RESPONSBILITIES:

  • Develops regional sales strategies, goals, etc. in conjunction with corporate strategies/goals, facilitates coordination of company processes and communication.
  • Ensure effective and motivated sales representative network to cover the region.
  • Develops, controls, and ensures adherence to the region budget.
  • Furnishes sales market forecasts and other reports/forecasts for the region as required.
  • Ensures proper coverage of existing mining markets and those offering growth potential in mining within the region. Manages all aspects of sales in region, including the end user mine sites, end user head offices, contractors and engineering houses with the sales representative offices.
  • Expands "partnership" relations together with the sales representative companies towards the customers by aiding in the development of blanket orders, stock programs, test pump programs, scrap buy-back programs etc.
  • Ensures proper follow-up of all active quotations to obtain quotation status and pursue the close of the sales, Use the relevant company tools effectively.
  • Be the technical slurry pumping specialist in the market area and help the customer to trouble shoot any slurry pumping related issues.
  • Makes scheduled sales calls with (or without) sales representatives to customers and prospects.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Business or Engineering.
  • Minimum of five years of capital goods sales experience, preferably in the slurry pumping industry
  • Knowledge of mining/utility markets
  • Background in slurry pumps/fluids handling
  • Knowledge or experience of selling through representatives/distributors

Authority:
To perform all necessary sales functions within the given region: directing the overall region sales effort, developing strategies, establishing price levels, managing local stock levels, and aiding in the selection and development of region sales representative companies.

Physical Requirements:

  • Primarily desk-type duty

Travel Requirements:

  • This position will serve as a liaison between the business and customer, so frequent customer visits will be required to maintain a good working relationship. While not at the customer site, position will be remote.
