Job Summary

We're seeking a highly capable Senior Technical Program Manager to lead the planning, execution, and delivery of largetomedium, moderately complex technical programs spanning multiple teams and organizations. This role requires strong program management fundamentals, growing technical depth, and the ability to operate with increasing independence while partnering effectively with engineering, product, and business stakeholders to drive reliable outcomes.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Lead crossfunctional, largetomedium technical programs that span multiple teams or organizations, ensuring delivery against committed scope, timelines, and quality expectations.

  • Collaborate with engineering, product, and business partners to refine requirements, define scope, and establish clear success criteria and delivery plans.

  • Understand technical program scopes and align delivery plans with product direction, business requirements, and relevant planning and budget processes.

  • Identify and secure participation from required crossfunctional teams to ensure effective collaboration and program execution.

  • Build and maintain integrated program plans, including identification and management of critical paths, dependencies, and key milestones; maintain an accurate program record.

  • Identify and manage program risks and issues; proactively define mitigation strategies, establish contingency plans, and escalate appropriately to senior leaders when needed.

  • Track and manage program schedules and tasks; analyze performance against plan and adjust sequencing, scope, or approach to maintain committed outcomes.

  • Provide clear, consistent program status and inputs for leadership and executive readouts, highlighting risks, changes, and decisions required; ensure stakeholder engagement throughout the program lifecycle.

  • Bring structure to moderately ambiguous problem spaces, helping teams break down work, sequence execution, and stay aligned to objectives.

  • Support execution tradeoffs across scope, timeline, dependencies, and resourcing in partnership with stakeholders; ensure proper documentation of decisions and changes.

  • Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.

  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

What You'll Need:

  • Education: Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related technical field.

  • Experience: 7-10 years of relevant experience in technical program management, ops or related roles.

  • Must have a minimum of 5 years' experience managing the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) in an agile environment supporting an engineering focused organization.

  • Must have strong communication skills and a demonstrable ability to speak, listen, and write in a clear, thorough, and timely manner using appropriate and effective communication tools and techniques.

  • Experience developing comprehensive project plans supporting technically focused projects and/or software development deliverables.

  • Proven track record of strong organizational skills. Ability to set priorities, track work, and be transparent.

  • Must have experience pulling and analyzing data to inform an approach or decision. Especially in Jira, Excel, and databases.

  • Ability to explore innovative ways to address operational or organizational pain points.

  • Technical Skills: Understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and system architecture. Experience with Agile methodologies and project management tools: ServiceNow, Smartsheet, Power BI, Confluence and JIRA.
