Reimagine What's Possible

Are you passionate about sustainability, driving cross-functional impact, and shaping how a global company communicates its environmental, social, and governance progress? Air Products is seeking a Global Sustainability Program Leader who will lead ESG reporting, strengthen GHG data governance, and advance product carbon footprint capabilities across the enterprise. If you thrive in a high-visibility role, enjoy translating complex sustainability topics into strategic business insights, and are excited to help build a more sustainable tomorrow, we'd love to hear from you.

The Global Sustainability Program Leader owns the company's ESG reporting program, GHG data governance, and annual Sustainability Report. This role also leads product carbon footprint (PCF) process development and supports customer- and investor-facing sustainability disclosures.

This position partners across Operations, EHS, Finance, Commercial, Legal/Compliance, Investor Relations, and Corporate Communications to ensure accurate, consistent, and strategically aligned ESG reporting. The role also engages senior leadership through executive presentations, sustainability updates, and insights on emerging ESG trends and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, drafting, and publication of the annual Sustainability Report

  • Own governance of ESG disclosures across external communications

  • Oversee ESG and GHG data readiness, documentation, and reporting processes

  • Advance and standardize product carbon footprint (PCF) methodologies

  • Support responses to customer, investor, and ESG ratings inquiries

  • Provide sustainability performance insights and updates to executive leadership

  • Monitor evolving ESG regulations and support disclosure readiness

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Sustainability, Finance, Business, or related field

  • 10+ years of relevant experience, or 7+ years with strong ownership of ESG, sustainability reporting, or related cross-functional programs

  • Experience in ESG reporting, ESG data governance, GHG accounting, or external ESG requests

  • Strong writing, editing, and project leadership skills

  • Ability to influence cross-functionally and communicate effectively with senior leaders

  • Experience preparing executive-level presentations

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree (Master's, MBA, or equivalent)

  • Familiarity with ESG reporting frameworks such as TCFD, ISSB, and CSRD

  • Experience with GHG inventories, PCF concepts, or customer carbon data requests

  • Strong Excel and data analysis skills

  • Relevant sustainability, carbon accounting, or project management certifications
